When Everything Changes: A New Beginning

Seven years. Seven years of passion, purpose, and hard work - all taken from me in a single moment. My Facebook business page, a place where I had built an incredible community and poured so much of my heart and soul, was compromised through what is called social engineering. For those who don’t know, this is when scammers manipulate trust to gain access to your most precious work. It wasn’t just a hack - it was a violation.

That page was more than just a collection of posts. It was where I shared my journey, my healing, and my truth. It was where I connected with thousands of people around the world who resonated with my words and found hope in what I had to share. It was where I encouraged others, and often myself, to keep moving forward, no matter how hard life got. I frequently wrote the words I needed to hear during my darkest times. That page wasn’t just what I did - it was a reflection of who I am.

When I realised what had happened, my heart sank. I felt violated, exposed, and heartbroken. It wasn’t just the loss of a page; it was the loss of years of memories, community, and connection. All the late nights, the thoughtful words, the vulnerability I had shared felt like it had been stolen. I had a big cry, and I sat with the weight of it all for a moment. I allowed myself to feel every ounce of sadness, frustration, and fear. I felt the grief of possibly losing everything I had worked so hard to build.

But as I sat in those feelings, I reminded myself of a lesson I’ve learned on my own healing journey: This isn’t happening to me; it’s happening for me.

I don’t know why or how yet, but I do know this: sometimes life has to strip us down to rebuild us stronger. This loss forced me to pause and reflect on everything I’ve created - not just a page, but a legacy. It reminded me of the resilience that’s always been within me. This wasn’t the end of my story but the beginning of a new chapter.

Yes, it’s devastating to see my seven years of hard work gone in an instant. But no scammer can steal my purpose, my voice, or my passion. They may have taken my page, but they will never take the light I shine for others. And in this process, I realised something profound: I’m not starting over. I’m rebuilding with the love and support of the community that has walked this journey with me.

This experience has deepened my commitment to my work. It reminded me that the words I share, the healing I encourage, and the hope I spread are needed now more than ever. And while I’m taking steps to ensure my work is even more protected moving forward, I’m also embracing the opportunity to create something new, something even better.

This isn’t just a comeback; it’s a transformation.

To my incredible community, thank you for standing by me, supporting me, and believing in the work we’ve built together. I invite you to join me on this new journey. Follow my new page, subscribe, and let’s continue to grow and heal together. Because this isn’t just about a page - it’s about a purpose. It’s about all of us and the light we create when we show up for each other.

With big love & limitless belief in you, Renee
